Optimo Music is releasing a compilation of anarcho-punk music.
Out in May, the 18-track Cease & Resist – Sonic Subversion & Anarcho Punk In The UK 1979-86 is curated by Optimo’s JD Twitch and anarcho-punk figure Chris Low. It collects tracks by the likes of Crass, Chumbawamba, The Ex, Poison Girls and The Cravats, among others. All profits from the release will be donated to the Scottish Campaign For Nuclear Disarmament and Faslane Peace Camp in line with the anti-establishment values and political nature of many of the acts featured across the compilation.
