Oneohtrix Point Never has shared the first full piece of music from his forthcoming album, Again.
The track, ‘A Barely Lit Path’, features orchestral contributions from the NOMAD Ensemble, conducted and arranged by Robert Ames. It closes the album, which was announced earlier this month and described by the artist, real name Daniel Lopatin, as "a speculative autobiography." Above, you can watch a video for the track, which was directed by visual artist Freeka Tet, who will accompany Lopatin on an upcoming tour in support of Again.
The new album marks Lopatin’s first full-length effort since 2020’s Magic Oneohtrix Point Never.
Warp Records will release Again on September 29, 2023.
