LISTEN: Oneohtrix Point Never Remixes Ryuichi Sakamoto

Daniel Lopatin has remixed a track from Ryuichi Sakamoto's recent album, async

Oneohtrix Point Never has shared a rework of ‘Andata’, a track taken from Ryuichi Sakamoto’s recent album async.

The rework couples the minimalism of Sakamoto’s pianos on the original track with additional atmospheric electronics from Daniel Lopatin, much in the vein of his past work as Oneohtrix Point Never.

Sakamoto will soon release a companion LP to async made up of remixes of tracks from the album, on which Oneohtrix Point Never’s rework will feature, alongside remixes from Arca, Cornelius, Yves Tumor, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Motion Graphics and more. It will be released later this year via Milan Records, while a vinyl version of async will be available ahead of that from September 8.

Lopatin’s next album, his soundtrack for upcoming film Good Time, will be released via Warp on August 11.
