The Knife’s Olof Dreijer Combines with Swedish-Colombian Artist Diva Cruz for New EP

'Brujas' will be released via Dekmantel Records later this month

Olof Dreijer, formerly known as one-half of The Knife, has teamed up with Colombian-Swedish percussionist and vocalist Diva Cruz for a new three-track EP, Brujas.

Combining Dreijer’s characteristically colourful synth melodies with percussion and Spanish language vocals from Cruz that oppose patriarchy, racism and colonialism, the EP marks the former’s second record of the year, following March’s AD 93-released Coral EP.

Brujas, the title track from which you can listen to below, marks Dreijer’s debut for Dutch festival Dekmantel’s in-house label, and it will be supported by live appearances alongside Cruz at this year’s 10th anniversary edition of Dekmantel in Amsterdam, as well as Sónar Barcelona.

In April, Dreijer released a remix he made of Björk and Rosalía’s collaboration, ‘Oral’.

Dekmantel Records will release Brujas on June 28, 2024.
