Objekt Launches New Label, Details ‘Ganzfeld’ Reissue

Kapsela is billed as a new platform for his own material, as well as the work of newer and less established artists

Objekt has launched a new label, Kapsela.

Taking its name from the ’90s modular toy brand Capsela, the new imprint builds on the eponymous white label series that has seen Objekt, real name TJ Hertz, put out some of his best-loved material since 2011, including cuts such as ‘Tinderbox’, ‘CLK Recovery’ and ‘Theme From Q’. Kapsela, a press release said, will give the producer a new vehicle to put out a broader spectrum of his own work, while also providing a platform for the music of others, particularly newer and less established artists.

The inaugural EP on the label is a 10th anniversary reissue of Hertz’s track ‘Ganzfeld’, which originally came out on the Berlin label Leisure System and had never been available on streaming platforms until now. An updated release of the song will take in new remixes by DjRUM, Piezo and Ulla, with DjRUM’s rework available to listen to now below ahead of the full EP’s release next month.

Hertz will follow the reissue of ‘Ganzfeld’ up swiftly with a new solo EP, titled Chicken Garaage, for which an exact release date has not yet been made public.

Kapsela will release Ganzfeld on October 4, 2024.
