Noel: ‘I’ve Never Used A Computer’

Award-winning blog done by text, apparently

Noel Gallagher today admitted that, despite picking up an NME Shockwaves award for Best Blog, he has never been within 10 feet of PC.

According to Mr Gallagher, he sends all his blog updates via text. Presumably he texted in his latest update, in which he declares: “Well, well, well – so these little text messages have now become ‘award-winning’, eh?”

Adding: “Oh, the irony! Irie Nancy finds the whole thing rather amusing, considering that I’ve yet to go within 10 feet of a computer, let alone own one of the blasted things.”

The awards did not all go in favour Mr. Modesty, though Gallagher was suitably humble when conceding the Hero Status award to Barak Obama, saying: “I guess Mr. Obama was more deserving of the hero status. But all in all, a tidy little haul, I think.”

In addition to Noel’s Blog award, Oasis also walked off with the Best British Band Award, booed by the readers who voted for them.
