On Monday, Noel Gallagher releases his second High Flying Birds album, Chasing Yesterday. Earlier this month, Jude Rogers talked to Mr Gallagher about the record, as well as politics in music, Sleaford Mods and the night he spent getting hammered with Morrissey. Well, that’s a lie actually, they don’t really talk about the record, as that’d be "dull as fuck", as Noel says, adding: "Surely nobody gives a shit about how Sam Smith recorded his new album. I don’t think I could be less interested." Fair point, that. Read the rest of the interview here.

Before the album hits the shelves, though, we’ve kindly been given a first play of a new remix of recent single ‘In The Heat Of The Moment’, by Toydrum, comprising James Griffith and Pablo Clements, formerly of U.N.K.L.E., working it out into an ace, roiling, pulsating rhythm-focussed track. Give it a play above and pre-order the the album, where the remix appears as a bonus track, here and here.
