Nils Frahm Releases Surprise Album, ‘Graz’

Out today, the release coincides with the annual Piano Day

Nils Frahm has released a new album today (March 29) via Erased Tapes.

Titled Graz, the album was recorded at the University Of Music And Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, in 2009. Most of the pieces on the album have never been heard before, and its release today coincides with the annual Piano Day, which Frahm co-founded in 2015. Speaking about the recordings from the Graz sessions, Frahm says he kept them secret for some time because "they sound like a much younger version of myself to me, and a lot of the musical expressions from that time would be impossible for me to replicate today."

Graz is out now on Erased Tapes.
