Next week, we’re hugely excited to be hosting Nik Colk Void of Factory Floor and Carter Tutti Void playing a solo set of experimental guitar pieces, with support from Klara Lewis, ace Editions Mego electronic artist and recent Quietus interviewee and tQ’s Sophie Coletta DJing.
Ahead of that, Void has just sent over an excerpt of her preparing for the gig, a three-minute passage of metallic ringing and the sound of strings jarring against the fretboard over a dull beat and metronomic, caustic industrial hiss. She tells us: "My performance is based around re engaging with guitar, using extended techniques and electronics".
