Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have confirmed plans for an extensive tour of the UK this autumn.
The run of dates will see the duo present their recent album Carnage in a live setting for the first time. They will be joined on stage by musician Johnny Hostile for the shows, as well as backing singers Wendi Rose, T Jae Cole and Janet Ramus.
The tour will begin on September 2 at Poole’s The Lighthouse, and travel to a number of fairly intimate venues into early October when the tour ends at Brighton Dome. Between that, they’ve confirmed shows in Oxford, Bradford, Edinburgh, Manchester, Sheffield and many other towns and cities. There will also be two nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall on October 6 and 7.
Tickets for the shows will go on sale this Friday (July 23) via Nick Cave’s website, where you can also find the full list of dates.
Carnage was a surprise release in February of this year. The duo have since confirmed plans for a live film sometime in the future to accompany the album.
