Nick Cave to Present 2008 Turner Prize

Bad Seeds front man to present award at award on December 1st

Australian musician, writer, composer and icon Nick Cave is to find himself in the unfamiliar position of following in the footsteps of Madonna – by presenting the winner of the Turner Prize.

Cave will hand out the award at a ceremony to be held at the Tate Britain on December the 1st.

This year’s Turner Prize exhibition features installations including a mannequin sat on a toilet and a short film of a woman smashing China tea cups on the floor.

Four, relatively unknown, artists have been shortlisted for the prize – Goshka Macuga, Runa Islam, Cathy Wilkes and Mark Leckey.
