Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Share Second ‘The Making Of Wild God’ Video

The new clip shows the band in the process of recording their forthcoming album in a studio in Provence

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have shared a new video featuring footage of the band recording their forthcoming album, Wild God.

The near-five-minute video, which you can watch below, captures the band fleshing out ideas for the new record, and recording tracks at Miraval Studios in Provence. It’s the second such short film to be shared documenting the making of Wild God, following an initial video last month.

Wild God, which spans 10 tracks, was first announced in March of this year. In a statement shared at the time, Cave said: “I hope the album has the effect on listeners that it’s had on me. It bursts out of the speaker, and I get swept up with it. It’s a complicated record, but it’s also deeply and joyously infectious. There is never a masterplan when we make a record. The records rather reflect back the emotional state of the writers and musicians who played them. Listening to this, I don’t know, it seems we’re happy.”

The band will follow the album’s release with a tour of the UK and Europe through September, October and November.

Bad Seed / PIAS will release Wild God on August 30, 2024.
