Nick Cave Details ‘Idiot Prayer’ Live Album

The solo concert captured at Alexandra Palace in July is also being given a cinema release

Nick Cave is releasing his recent solo concert from Alexandra Palace as a live album.

Idiot Prayer: Nick Cave Alone At Alexandra Palace was captured in June and saw Cave play solo with a piano at the London venue as the UK began to emerge from its COVID-19 lockdown. It was later streamed online in July to fans in three different timezones who’d purchased tickets. Above, you can watch a video for ‘Galleon Ship’, from last year’s Ghosteen album, taken from that concert.

The concert was initially billed as an online only event, but fans will now also be able to see the film in cinemas as an extended cut featuring four unseen performances.

Idiot Prayer: Nick Cave Alone At Alexandra Palace will be in cinemas from November 5, 2020. The live album will be released on November 20, 2020.
