The Pre New For Glastonbury Festival

July shows also announced for band comprising of Earl Brutus and World Of Twist members

The Pre New, the new band formed by members of Quietus favourites Earl Brutus and Sheffield rockers World Of Twist, will play at this year’s Glastonbury festival.

The group will make their live debut by headlining the Queens Head Stage on June 26.

Speaking about the group, former Earl Brutus member Jim Fry said: "Yes. We will be defiantly ‘Doing’ Earl Brutus that night at Glastonbury and we intend to ‘Do’ everybody who is present…. It’s the fitting way to start up the Pre New…

"But it would be impossible to be Earl Brutus since the death of our irreplaceable front man Nick Sanderson in June 2008…that would just be wrong.

"I hope The Pre New will resemble Concord. Sleek and beautiful, dangerously futuristic, ear splittingly loud, as it carries with it, its own destruction…because we now all know that wonderful things have to come to an end."

The Pre New will also perform at Glamracket, Islington on July 3 and 1234 Shoreditch Festival on July 24.
