The Enemy Fancy England World Cup Song

Brace yourselves.

The Enemy want to record the official song for England’s 2010 World Cup campaign.

The Coventry rockers are, of course, already the voice of a generation and mouthpiece for today’s disaffected youth, so their desire to provide the terraces with a soundtrack for next year’s tournament is only natural.

Singer Tom Clarke told The Sun: "If we brought out a good song, England might win it."

He’s thinking big for the project, too. "I’d like to get Peter Crouch to rap. We’d let him do his robot dance too", he said.

"I reckon Wayne Rooney could be an angry rapper. We’d do it just so we could say, ‘We’ve recorded the official England song’."
