Rejoice: all five studio LPs to be given re-mastered treatment

The Quietus

Friday morning gets off to a blistering start at The Quietus, as news reaches us of the Suede re-issues planned for this year. All five of the band’s studio albums will be re-released starting from May 30, with each record to be re-mastered and bolstered with previously unreleased material and unseen footage. The band have been working with former guitarist Bernard Butler on the re-releases, which will start with Suede on May 30 and culminate with A New Morning on June 22.

Talking about the project, Suede singer Brett Anderson said: "This is the definitive collection of pretty much everything we released in 14 years together – and some stuff which we didn’t.

"It’s all re-mastered and includes unreleased, never-before-heard oddities and gems which even I’d forgotten about. It’s the complete audio history of a band and, like any band of interest, it’s flawed, strange and sometimes beautiful."
