Slayer Delay Tour Again!

Tom Araya still suffering from back injury

The Quietus is disappointed to learn that Slayer have been forced once more to postpone their UK tour dates due to bassist and vocalist Tom Araya’s back injury.

Slayer manager Rick Sales said: "Tom gave various medical treatments more than a fair shot but they just haven’t handled the problem, so he’s biting the bullet and is scheduled for back surgery at the end of this month."

The band, who were forced to postpone their November UK shows last year, are now trying to reschedule both their American and Canadian Carnage Tour dates with Megadeth and Testament that were set to start on January 18 as well as their UK shows scheduled for March and April.

Fans are advised to hold onto their tickets as the band’s promoters work on arranging new dates.

Sales added: "As unfortunate as this is for so many people – the Megadeth and Testament camps, the concerts’ promoters, and, of course, the fans – Tom’s health is the number one priority, and this has to happen."
