tQ Exclusive: I Like Trains Announce Submarium Gig

Album launch show details revealed; Quietus bunker rejoices

There’s much joy in our office today as I Like Trains, perennial favourites of The Quietus, announce a special show to take place in the world’s only submarium later this year. What’s more, they’ve revealed their getting rid of that daft way you were supposed to spell their name.

The band will be playing songs from their forthcoming new album He Who Saw The Deep at The Deep in Hull on October 14.

After receiving donations from fans for the recording of He Who Saw The Deep, I Like Trains will also release 100 exclusive tickets via Pledge music. There is still time to pledge, tQ is going for the vinyl special.

Lead singer Dave Martin said: "We’re all extremely excited for our show at the Deep in Hull. It will be a totally unique experience to be playing up close and personal with the sharks, eels and swordfish.

"I’ve been a few times, but keep finding more weird and wonderful sea creatures to marvel at. This way we get to spend an evening looking around, with the added bonus of playing a gig to our biggest fans. It doesn’t get much better than that!"
