Primal Scream Working On New Album

"We're trundling along," says Mani

Primal Scream bassist Mani has revealed that the band are currently working on a new album.

Mani told NME.com that the group will spend the rest of 2010 writing material for the record.

He said: "This year is a writing year and it’s going well. We’re trundling along.

"We’ve got some half ideas left over from the last album, so we’ll bring them up and give them a kick around, we’re into it."

Mani also revealed that the Freebass project he’s been working on with former Joy Division bassist Peter Hook and Andy Rourke, the former bass player in The Smiths.

He said: "We’ve got like one more week left and then we’re going to draw a line under it.

"You’re never gonna be 100 per cent happy with anything you do, I never am and I never will be, so it’ll be nice to finish things off and then get out and start playing the tunes."
