Morrissey stormed off stage in Liverpool on Saturday night after being struck in the head with a missile thrown from the crowd.
Moz had started the show with the Smiths classic ‘This Charming Man’ and was halfway through ‘Black Crowd’ when an audience member in the Liverpool Echo Arena threw a drink at him, prompting the singer to say "Goodbye" and walk off stage without completing the song.
The show was stopped for 15 minutes, until a crew member came out and announced the singer would not continue after being struck with the bottle, and that the audience were entitled to a full refund.
Echo Arena general manager Tim Banfield said: "We are exceptionally disappointed that one individual should choose to recklessly cause the concert to be abandoned, ruining what should have been a brilliant night out for thousands of Morrissey fans. The Echo Arena team take great care to ensure the safety of visitors and artists at the venue."
