'Baker Street' composer has passed away

Singer Gerry Rafferty has died aged 63. Reports yesterday evening revealed that the Scottish musician had passed away earlier that morning after a long illness.

Amongst the singer’s best known songs were ‘Baker Street’ and ‘Stuck In The Middle With You’ (the latter with his band Stealers Wheel), while his last album was 2000’s Another World.

The Quietus would like to offer its condolences to the friends and family of Gerry Rafferty at this time.
