Franz Members Gather For The Yummy Fur Reunion

Paul Thomson played drums while Alex Kapranos rubbed shoulders with the crowd - plus more dates announced.

Glaswegian indie band The Yummy Fur reunited for a reunion show last night in their native city to play live for the first time in over a decade.

Former member and current Franz Ferdinand drummer Paul Thomson joined the band on stage, while Alex Kapranos – another Yummy Fur alumni – watched on from the audience.

Frontman John McKeown, Paul Kearney and Brian McDougall completed the line-up.

The band have now announced a series of US and UK reunion gigs, and will play the following shows:

January 9 – Buffalo Bar, London

January 10 – The Lexington, London

January 14 – Kung Fu Neck Tie, Philadelphia

January 15 – Lombardy, Brooklyn

January 17 – The Echo, Los Angeles

January 18 – Cafe du Nord, San Francisco

January 20 – Portland, Mississippi Studios
