Five Years Until New Elbow Album?

Bassist hints at long wait

Elbow fans may have to wait for up to five years for the band’s next album, according to bassist Pete Turner.

In an interview with BBC 6 Music, Turner revealed that the band wanted to take their time with the follow-up to the Mercury Music Prize winning The Seldom Seen Kid and had "no idea" when the album would be ready.

He said: "If it’s three, four, or five years time, this next album has got to be the absolute ‘dog’s’ so we’ll see."

However, he did confirm that the band did have "lots of bits and bobs" already recorded.
