Glaswegian band set for first record in four years

Belle & Sebastian are set to start work on their first album in four years, according to NME.com.

In a message sent to fans on their emailing list, the Scottish band have revealed that they are about to enter the studio to work on a new record – their first since 2006’s The Life Pursuit.

They said: "We’ve been in the studio these last few weeks writing some new tracks and shortly we will say cheerio to Glasgow for a while when we set off to LA to record our next album."
