New Weird Britain 4: Rhodri Davies, Cosey & Kemper Norton

The BBC's four part investigation into why culture is getting ever weirder concludes this week with a trip to the seaside

The final episode of New Weird Britain airs today on Radio 4 at 4pm. The series that has been exploring the UK DIY underground finally reaches the coast.

Presenter John Doran talks to Welsh harpist Rhodri Davies, industrial music founder Cosey Fanni Tutti, academic Jennifer Lucy Allan, artist and broadcaster Hannah Catherine Jones, avant garde vocalist Jennifer Walshe, modern folk artist Kemper Norton and nut burning renegade, Lee Patterson.

The show, which was produced by Alannah Chance for Reduced Listening, asks why artistic communities form on the coast while also considering the problematic and exclusionary nature of new scenes and why culture is becoming weirder.
