Last month Cosmo Rhythmatic announced the upcoming release of a six-track EP by Mika Vainio and Franck Vigroux, the first collaborative release from the pair since Vainio’s death last year.
Now the label has shared a new track from the EP entitled ‘Feux’ which centres around distorted electronics and spacey synths. You can hear the track exclusively above.
The track features on Ignis which follows on from the release of a collaborative album between the pair in 2015 called Peau Froide, Léger Soleil, which also arrived via Cosmo Rhythmatic. That album emerged from various studio sessions and live performances between the pair which resulted in a huge amount of recorded material. The duo decided to spread that material across more than one record – the 2015 album was the first of those releases.
Cosmo Rhythmatic will release Ignis on 12" vinyl and digitally this Friday (June 29).
