New Spoken Word LP Set To Celebrate The Poetry Of Sun Ra

'My Words Are Music' features contributions from L'Rain and TV on The Radio's Tunde Adibempe, among others

A new spoken word album will celebrate the poetry of Sun Ra.

Titled My Words Are Music, the 13-track album features contributions from a number of artists who’ve been inspired by the work of the late jazz legend, including L’Rain, TV On The Radio’s Tunde Adibemple, Saul Williams, and The Arkestra’s Marshall Allen and Knoel Scott. You can listen to the lead cut ‘When Angels Speak’, by Saul Williams, above.

My Words Are Music was developed in conjunction with Living Sky, the Sun Ra Arkestra album released that was released last October.

Omni Sound will release My Words Are Music on August 25, 2023.
