Portishead have announced that are going to release the track ‘Chase The Tear’ on 12" and download next month via XL Recordings. Fans who live in New York will be able to pick up one of 200 advance signed copies available from the Independent Label Market, which takes place in Brooklyn on October 8. The rest of us will be able to buy the vinyl on November 14.
The track is a relatively recent addition to their live sets and was released as a download only in 2009. The band performed the track on the Jimmy Fallon show on October 5. The limited edition vinyl will have a re-imagining of the a-side by Toronto’s Doldrums on the b-side. All proceeds from the release will go to Amnesty International, listen to ‘Chase The Tear’ below:
