New Order to Reissue ‘Brotherhood’ in Deluxe Box Set

The expanded edition of the band's 1986 album takes in unreleased demos, 12-inch singles and two DVDs

New Order are releasing a deluxe box set version of their album Brotherhood.

Out in November, the limited edition release arrives off the back of previous reissues of records Substance and Low-Life, and marks the fourth instalment of their Definitive box set series.

The expanded edition of Brotherhood will include a vinyl LP featuring the full original album, as well as two CDs: one with the original album and another with nine unreleased tracks and demos from a 1985 recording session in Japan. There are also two DVDs containing various TV appearances, as well as live sets at Manchester’s G-Mex in 1986 and London’s Brixton Academy in 1987.

The box set is rounded out by a number of 12-inch singles featuring classic New Order tracks such as ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’, ‘Touched By The Hand Of God’ and ‘State Of The Nation’.

Originally released in September 1986, Brotherhood was New Order’s fourth studio album and saw them blend together elements of post-punk and electronic music. Its tracklisting was conceptually divided into a “disco” side and a “rock” side.

Warner will release Brotherhood (Definitive Edition) on November 22, 2024.
