New Order have confirmed plans for a box set ‘definitive edition’ reissue of their debut album Movement.

Due in April, the box set reissue will see the album made available in remastered CD and vinyl form, alongside an extra CD of unreleased material, a DVD featuring footage from gigs in New York during the early 1980s (as well as BBC studio appearances and other sets) and a hardcover book.

There will also be an additional option to buy separate vinyl reissues of the band’s first four 12" singles: two versions of Ceremony, Everything’s Gone Green and one of their biggest hits Temptation. A new 12" will be made available for each Friday of March as of March 8.

Produced by frequent collaborator Martin Hannett, Movement was originally released in November 1981 through Factory Records.

The new edition will be released through Rhino Records on April 5, and will come with sleeve design from Peter Saville.
