My Bloody Valentine could be set to release a new album next year according to a biography on frontman Kevin Shields written for his upcoming performance at Sigur Ros’ Norður og Niður Festival.
The bio on the festival’s website ends with the news that Shields is "currently finishing an all analog vinyl version of Loveless and Isn’t Anything and is also working on material for a new My Bloody Valentine album to be released in 2018."
After releasing much-anticipated third album m b v in 2013, 22 years after My Bloody Valentine’s previous album Loveless, Shields laid out his plans to work on the analog versions of the band’s first two albums and record a new album. If the news is indeed true, My Bloody Valentine fans won’t have to wait so long this time for a new album from the band.
