After hinting at incoming new material earlier this week, Kendrick Lamar has shared a new track called ‘The Heart Part 4’. You can hear it above.
Kendrick has also hinted at a new album set for release on April 7 with the new track signing off on the lyric, "y’all got till April the 7th to get y’all shit together". The track follows on from ‘The Heart Part 3’ which Kendrick released in 2012 to tease his then forthcoming album good kid, m.A.A.d. city. On that track, he also set a release date for that album.
‘The Heart Part 4’ sets Donald Trump as one of its targets and references the ongoing allegations of Russian connections with Trump’s presidency. Kendrick has spoken recently about how he had quickly began working on a new album in response to recent political and social affairs.
