Johnny Hostile has announced the release of his debut solo album, entitled (dys)function. Above, you can hear the slow-burning lead track ‘Stay Awake’.
Before working as the producer for Savages, Hostile performed as part of indie group John & Jehn alongside Savages frontwoman Jehnny Beth and Savages guitarist Gemma Thompson. A departure from the sounds of those bands, (dys)function focuses on ambient and experimental electronic music, genres Hostile had felt were at "the centre of his life for years".
(dys)function is set for release on October 5 via the Paris-based label Pop Noire, which Hostile started with Jehnny Beth in 2011.
