WATCH: New Great Ytene Video

Four-piece share video for 'Locus'; watch below

Great Ytene are soon set to follow-up their debut Bella Union-released EP with their debut album in the form of Locus, and above, you can take a first look at the video for the album’s title track.

"The video was recorded one rainy afternoon in some old shipping containers sandwiched between the O2 arena and a driving range," the band say, having opted for a DIY approach to the shoot for the video. "We begged and borrowed equipment to film it and roped in a couple of friends to shoot and roleplay back, with no video experience necessary, more for moral support and drinking buddies."

The claustrophobic video captures the band playing the track live amongst dark, dingy underground spaces. The album, meanwhile, came about after the band lost a full album’s worth of material to a technological mishap in 2015, one year after the release of their debut EP. The band spent six months after that writing new songs and putting them into shape to form Locus.

The album will be released by Faux Discx on February 17 with a release party for the album scheduled for that day also at London’s The Lexington. You can pre-order the album here.
