Downwards, Regis’ label, has released a new CD from British Murder Boys, the project of Regis and Surgeon.
Entitled Fire In The Still Air, it was sneaked out late last week and appears to feature a live recording of the duo. The pair called it a day on British Murder Boys in 2014 before returning to play a few select shows over the course of 2017 and 2018.
According to Boomkat’s sales notes, Fire In The Still Air features BMB classics such as ‘Hate Is Such a Strong Word’, ‘As Above So Below’ and ‘Don’t Give Way To Fear’.
Boomkat’s description of the music featured on the CD continues: "Regis mans the mic, swaggering around Surgeon’s shredded drum patterns and egging on the intensity, but also knowing when to wind his neck in and stop short of the sort of showboating industrial cliches that drove dancers from industrial to techno in their droves during the early-mid ’90s."
