New Baroness album announced

Double LP Yellow & Green due on 16th July

Savannah-based metallers are releasing their third album, titled Yellow & Green, on 16th July via Relapse Records. Following up almost a year off, the quartet’s new LP will be a double album, and production is helmed by John Congleton, whose previous credits include work with St Vincent and Explosions In The Sky.

Says Baroness frontman John Baizley: “We had been on tour for eight years, and we decided to take a break from our adventure to dig our heels in at home and write a new record. We spent the entirety of the past year dedicating ourselves to the new album. Without the break from touring and the time we took to rest and reflect, we would have been entirely unable to write this new record.”

Baizley’s also the man behind the band’s artwork, and they’ve released a couple of images of what Yellow & Green’s sleeve will look like – take a look at one of them above.

In the meantime, keep an eye on the band’s site for more details on the album.
