Having last month announced the upcoming release of a new album which will see them collaborating with a number of other musicians ADULT. have now shared the video for ‘They’re Just Words’, featuring Nitzer Ebb’s Douglas J McCarthy.
The duo of ADULT. appear in the video alongside McCarthy, with the brooding video having been directed by Hazel Hill McCarthy III, who recently also worked alongside Genesis P-Orridge on the film Bight Of The Twin.
The track is taken from ADULT.’s new album, Detroit House Guests, which is set for release on Mute on March 17, and features collaborations with Michael Gira, Shannon Funchess and Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, otherwise known as Lichens.
The album is based on a project conceived by ADULT. in the early part of the millennium, with the pair inviting a number of musicians to take up residence with them for three weeks each, and collaborate on music in that time. Detroit House Guests marks the pair’s first album release since 2013.
