Two years ago at London’s Lexington, we put on a terrific double header bill of Melbourne minimalists My Disco supported by Factory Floor. It was a night to break the ears, shake the limbs, and generally brighten the senses. Now, the two groups reunite, not on stage, but on vinyl. Factory Floor have remixed a brand new My Disco track called ‘Wrapped Coast’ that’ll be appearing on a My Disco 12" released especially for their forthcoming UK tour – which includes Supersonic and a Quietus date in London. You can hear the track via Soundcloud above. Now, we’ve not heard the original, but this Factory Floor mix is something else, demonstrating not only that trio’s increasing versatility as remixers, but the dancefloor potential of My Disco’s source material. The other side of the 12" features a remix of second new track ‘All I Can Do’ by none other than JK Flesh, aka Justin Broadrick. My Disco play Supersonic on the weekend of October 19th, 2012, and for the Quietus at London Lexington on the 23rd. You can buy tickets here.
