Music From Memory To Release ’90s Ambient Compilation

'Virtual Dreams: Ambient Explorations In The House & Techno Age, 1993-1997' features old material from LFO, Richard H. Kirk, Bedouin Ascent and more

Dutch label Music From Memory will mark 50 releases next month with a compilation focused on ambient techno from the ’90s.

Virtual Dreams: Ambient Explorations In The House & Techno Age, 1993-1997 is the first instalment in a new series focused on ambient music produced in the mid-’90s. Spanning 16 tracks, there’s music from LFO, Richard H. Kirk, Bedouin Ascent, David Moufang (AKA Move D), Jörn Elling Wuttke and Roman Flügel’s The Primitive Painter project, and Sun Electric, among others. There’s also a remix by Tom Middleton and Mark Pritchard under their Global Communication alias.

The compilation was curated by Music From Memory label head Jamie Tiller, and will be released on triple-vinyl and double-CD, as well as across digital formats. You can listen to David Moufang’s track, ‘Sergio Leone’s Wet Dream, above and find more information on the release here.
