Rare Mort Garson Album To Be Reissued

1976 album 'Mother Earth's Plantasia' has become a holy grail on the resale market

Mort Garson’s much sought-after 1976 album Mother Earth’s Plantasia is set to be officially reissued for the first time.

Sacred Bones is overseeing the reissue of the album, original copies of which fetch hundreds of pounds on the resale market. The record was originally recorded as an accompaniment to Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird’s book The Secret Life Of Plants, which made the unusual claim that plants enjoyed music. The album was recorded especially for plants, and came with the sub-title, "warm earth music for plants… and the people that love them."

Sacred Bones will release Mother Earth’s Plantasia on June 21, 2019.
