Next week, Moon Duo, the psychedelic pairing of Wooden Shjips’ Ripley Johnson and Sanae Yamada, are releasing their third album, Shadow Of The Sun, out on March 2 via Sacred Bones Records. It’s the result of the erstwhile San Francisco dwellers moving up the coast to Portland, trading in the "constant adrenaline of performing live and the stimulation of traveling through endless moving landscapes" for basement-bound experimentation, and we’ve kindly been given a first play of the record – listen above. Later this week, the band will be heading back out on the road – go to their website for listings of their upcoming dates, with the band stopping by Islington Mill in Salford on April 8 and The Haunt in Brighton the day after, before returning later in the month.
