The University of Surrey’s Moog Symposium is returning for 2019 later this month following on from last year’s event which featured Chris Carter and Chris Watson.
This year, the event will host an array of producers working within experimental electronic musician, including Editions Mego affiliates Russell Haswell, Finlay Shakespeare and Pita, as well as Emptyset’s Paul Purgas.
The Moog Symposium will stretch out across two days on May 24 and 25 with Haswell and Pita performing together on the first night. The following day, there will be a number of talks – including Paul Purgas discussing India’s first experimental electronic music studio – before Finlay Shakespeare wraps up proceedings with a live set.
Modular synth fans can also further get their fill via a demo of Moog Sound Lab UK’s huge Moog System 55 which will take place on site. You can find full details of the programme, and get tickets, here.
