Moog has announced that it will be discontinuing its line of Moogerfooger analogue pedals.
The voltage-controlled pedals allowed users to add an array of effects to their output, including delays, phasers and flangers. The range launched in 1998 with the MF-101 Low Pass Filter, expanding in the years since to take in 20 different variations.
The Moogerfooger pedals will remain in production, Moog says, "while our remaining inventory of parts and materials last". Their smaller line of Minifooger pedals will remain in production.
"As one of the longest running lines in the Moog Factory, the Moogerfooger family holds a special place in our hearts," Moog’s statement announcing the decision to discontinue the products says.
The company has shared an exclusive EP by Thrill Jockey artist Colleen to mark the announcement. She made extensive use of Moogerfooger pedals, namely the MIDI MuRF and MF-104M, on her 2017 album A Flame My Love, A Frequency. Check that EP out just above.
