SCALPING have shared details of a new remixes package to accompany their recent EP, FLOOD.
The six-track release, titled FLOOD REMIXED, features reworks by Mogwai, Laurel Halo, object blue, Azu Tiwaline, Hodge and AQXDM. Ahead of the release, the Houndstooth signees have released Mogwai’s remix for the EP, which sees the Scottish group take on the track ‘Cloudburst’. You can listen to it above.
Speaking about the remix, Mogwai’s Barry Burns says: "I loved reworking ‘Cloudburst’ due to the sheer mass of lovely little (and big) noises from which I could make new drum sounds and melodies to layer over the original. This was a tune where everything was so nicely overwhelming in the beginning and somehow came together really well with a bit more chaos from my fumbling about with the buttons."
Houndstooth will release FLOOD REMIXED on October 8, 2021.
