Mogwai have released their soundtrack for a new Apple TV show called Black Bird.
The release, which is available for download and on streaming platforms, coincides with the debut of the show’s first two episodes this week on Apple TV+. Speaking about the band’s work on the soundtrack, Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite said in a statement: "Working on Black Bird was a real honour and a challenge. The story is incredibly intense and wonderfully performed. We’re excited about everyone getting to see it."
The limited drama series, which runs for six episodes, stars actor Taron Egerton. Described as a "psychological thriller," it’s adapted from the true crime memoir In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, And A Dangerous Bargain For Redemption by James Keene and Hillel Levin.
Mogwai’s work on the soundtrack follows on from the recent release of single ‘Boltfor’, and comes ahead of the publishing of Stuart Braithwaite’s autobiography, Spaceships Over Glasgow: Mogwai And Misspent Youth, on September 29.
Black Bird OST is out now on Rock Action.
