Composer and artist Mira Calix will this month fully launch a new online portal, alongside Warp Records and Bleep, which aims to bring together her various works into one carefully curated creative hub.
Bringing together sound and visual media, Calix often creates multi-disciplinary pieces and says she was inspired to create the portal upon realising its potential as a creative platform, allowing her to divide her works into three sub-sections marked ‘music’, ‘materials’ and ‘conversation’. The latter will see her collect a series of discussions with friends and collaborators.
She promises that releases across all three sections will come regularly and that conversations will be downloadable for a limited time, although available to stream indefinitely. Artworks will be produced in limited editions and music will be available to download in both MP3 and FLAC formats. Her existing works with Warp will be available through the portal also.
