Military Genius is the new solo project of Bryce Cloghesy, also known as a member of excellent Canadian collective Crack Cloud and other side projects like NOV3L and Blanka.
Above, you can hear new track ‘Focus’, which sees him sign to the Unheard Of Hope label, a sub-label of Coventry-based imprint Tin Angel Records. Folding in jazz influences and lo-fi production, ‘Focus’ places Cloghesy’s tender vocals alongside freeform harmonica, shifting drums and a haunting keyboard loop.
‘Focus’ is the first official track to emerge from Cloghesy’s new solo alias and acts as a precursor to more material to come in 2020 through Unheard Of Hope.
