As we’ve previously reported, fearsome electronics man Mika Vainio is releasing a new solo album, Kilo, and it’s now been confirmed as coming out on May 27 via blastfirstpetite.
Shortly before then, he’ll be on the bill supporting Carter Tutti at Heaven in London on May 19 – get hold of tickets here.
Ahead of that, have a read of our recent interview with Vainio, where he spoke a little about the sound of Kilo: "The new album is quite similar in style as Pan Sonic was. It’s based on beats and rhythmic structures [whereas] the album on Touch doesn’t use any beats, there are rhythmic structures but not like that, so it’s quite different for me."
