Metronomy have today debuted the video for their new single ‘Love Letters’, directed by none less than Michel Gondry – have a watch above. The song is the title track of their forthcoming fourth album, out on March 10, ahead of their headline slot at this year’s Field Day on June 7 in London’s Victoria Park.
Speaking of the festival, to celebrate Valentine’s Day this Friday, Metronomy have a special offer for loved-up listeners: at 9 am a special bundle of Field Day tickets and an mp3 copy of Love Letters will be made available for £50, but you’ll have to be quick off the mark – as there are only limited numbers and the sale will only last for 24 hours; head here come Friday to buy.
The special offer will follow a one-off Metronomy Google Hangout tomorrow, where fans will be able to post questions for Gondry and the band’s Joe Mount in the comments section of the video on YouTube using the hashtag #loveletters. Tune in to the event, hosted by comedian Adam Buxton, from 5 pm at Metronomy’s YouTube channel here.
