Metallica Launch Vinyl Subscription Club

The band will make rarities and demos available on a series of exclusively 7" records

Metallica have launched a vinyl-based subscription service.

The Metallica Vinyl Club will see the band releasing, a statement says, "rare cuts, demos and rough mixes, and live rarities" on a series of 7" vinyl records, with the club’s first year set to feature four releases. All of the tracks included will have never been pressed to vinyl before.

"Each subscription includes a personalised membership card, four 7" vinyl records, and select releases throughout the year will include additional collectibles; this could be anything from exclusive stickers to picks or even posters," the band’s announcement says. You can sign up for the 2020 service between now and March 31 here, where you can also find more information on the club.

Last week, Metallica revealed that a newly discovered deep-sea creature had been named after them.
